Many of the children who attend Pitton Pre-School go on to school at either Pitton Primary School, Winterslow Primary School or St Andrew's Primary in Laverstock. All the schools will welcome a visit from prospective families, and most hold open days during the summer or autumn terms to enable parents to get a feel for the school in action.

Applying for school places
Closing dates for admission to school in September 2011 have now passed. You can still apply but the application will be treated as a late application and dealt with accordingly.
If your child is 4 before 1 September 2012, they are able to start school during the next academic year, starting September 2012. This might be in September or January according to their birth date and the school's admission policy.
(Legally a child has to be in full time education from the term after their fifth birthday.)

You MUST apply for a place. Applications are handled by the Local Education Authority

You may apply online www.wiltshire.gov.uk, or collect a form from the school or pre-school which has to be posted back to County Hall, Trowbridge.
Applications may be made from 1st September 2011
Applications must be made by midnight on Sunday 15th January 2012. (national deadline)

If your chosen school is in Hampshire;
You may apply online www.hants.gov.uk, or collect a form from the school, which should then be returned to the first choice school.
